I think it would be so cool if Nintendo ported SSB from the N64 to the DS and added an extra feature or two. It would be cool to be able to play against your friends on the DS, and an online feature would be fantastic too.

OMG!

I like them better on the consoles. I don't think it would be that great.

For some reason, I totally dig bad graphics. Not bad graphics that are supposed to be good, but bad graphics like N64 graphics. If they ported SSBB to the DS I would buy it just for the graphics. I'd love to see characters like Lucario, Link, and Pit in +64 bit.

I agree, we need new characters, stages ext.

but with what sbasb said, Jump Ultimate Stars only has anime characters right??

Mario Kart DS did just fine as a port with a couple added extra features.

^ yeah bu we could use a knew MArio KArt now. that old one sucks

SSB DS would be fine.As for wifi i'm not so sure..look at the wii's. For the DS though,I'd want

Shiek/Zelda, Mario/paper mario, Luigi, Roy, Kirby, Pit, Gray Fox (metal gear solid), Snake, metaknight, Fox/Wolf, Zack& wiki, Fran, Toon link, Ryu from ninja gaiden DS, samus, and Gannondorf.

and every charcter would have a final smash and different set of moves. Yes that means you Mario/paper mario and Luigi

It would be kind of hard to part some parts in, like the Stage Creator.

Well, I'm sure if they ever did port it to DS, they would keep it very simple. It would probably be modeled after the N64 version.

There was never a Stage Builder on N64 version, was there? :raiseibrow:

He means they probably wouldn't even include a stage builder. They'll probably make all the secrets and extra modes the same as the N64 game.

There's no reason why this wouldn't work. I think it would look good and run smoothly if they cut down on the graphics and features - for example, ported the N64 version and perhaps added two new characters, but that's it.

There is a possibility that it would look too cluttered on the screen, but they could always use the top-screen for the battle and the bottom-screen for damage metres, stock/time remaining etc.

The only problem I have is that Nintendo have a habit of incorporating gimmicky, and, frankly, pointless touch-screen controls. As long as they follow the same path as NSMB and Mario Kart DS, they should be fine.

I would like it.
